NMSU approves new president’s contract

Former provost of the University of Cincinnati Valerio Ferme is set to be the new president of New Mexico State University, following a unanimous vote by the university’s board of regents.

Ferme’s term will start on Nov. 18, when he will start a transitional period lasting until the end of the year. Interim President Mónica Torres will continue to serve as acting president until Ferme’s transition is complete.
